Dark Heart - South Australian Art Gallery

The Dark Heart exhibition curated by Nick Mitzevich showing at the Art Gallery of South Australian showcases a number of contemporary artists. A number of artist explore the emotive potential of photography as in the case of Tony Garifalkas.

Photomedia elected for the exhibition include Rosemary Lang, Trent Parke and Shoufay Derz. These artist employ photomedia to depcit the ark and provactive side of human nature and reveal how penetrating the camera can be in depicting the deeply felt.

As Curator and Art Gallery of South Australia Director Nick Mitzevich states that-

‘My focus is on assembling an exhibition that connects with the viewer and provides a moving experience’.
